Good to know: In order to achieve a smooth plastered surface, so-called plastering strips can be placed on the substrate. These plaster strips are to be aligned vertically. The distance between the plaster strips should be selected depending on the length of the straight edge so that sufficient overlap is guaranteed. Plaster that is proud can be removed using the straight edge until it is vertically and horizontally flush. The strips can then be removed. The resulting recesses are then filled and smoothed.
